Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website's reaction test and waitlist, and the Brain Training App that connects to WHOOP.
What we collect
- On this website. The test runs in your browser. Nothing is stored unless you choose to save your score. If you do, we store your email address, your first name if you give it, whether you told us you wear a WHOOP, and your test results (reaction time, lapses, early taps, number of trials).
- WHOOP data, with your permission. If you later connect a WHOOP account to the app, we read recovery scores, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, strain, workouts and basic profile details. We only read data. We never change anything in your WHOOP account.
- Information you enter in the app. Test results, self-ratings such as alertness, stress and mood, notes, and figures you log such as caffeine, alcohol and sleep times.
Some of this is health information, which is sensitive information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988. We collect it only with your consent.
How we use it
- To show you your own results and trends.
- To email you about the 14-Day Brain Baseline and related Regulated Me programs. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To recommend training activities that suit your current state.
- To improve the tests and the app, using data with names and contact details removed.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share WHOOP data with anyone else.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Your data is stored with third-party providers that process it on our behalf: a cloud database provider, a website host, and an email service provider. Their servers may be located outside Australia. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to you and to the operator for support and maintenance.
We disclose information only if you ask us to, or if the law requires it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Disconnect WHOOP at any time from your WHOOP account settings or by asking us. We stop collecting new data immediately.
- Access and correction. You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete everything linked to you. We do this within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you are on the list or your account is active. If you ask for deletion, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record.
Not a medical service
The test and the app are for general wellbeing and performance. They do not diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition and are not a substitute for professional advice.
Age
This is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date. If the change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect.
